Fault is if the battery hasn't been on charge for say 3-4 hours to do a so called full charge the ipad randomly loses power and reboots. It reports incorrect battery percentages too.
Yesterday I left it on charge for 3-4 hours and turned it on and began testing, brightness at the brightest and began streaming videos, the battery lasted around 5-6 hours before it turned off on it's own. During this time the battery percentage never left 100% and I never received any low battery warnings.
So I try turn it on and get the apple logo after 10 seconds before the IOS has loaded it's turned off again, I continued to do this until the ipad refused to turn on. Didn't see the usual battery icon warning about no power. Plug in the charger and I don't get the usual charging icon from when the battery is dead either.
Ipad boots up and is at 1% and remains there no matter how long it's on charge until I reboot the ipad, after 3-4 hours again charging and rebooting the ipad the battery reports 100%.
I was swaying towards a faulty battery, but as I didn't have any reboots after a complete full charge i'm wondering if whoever has replaced the touch screen has damaged part of the charging circuit, or the module/part that reports battery stats.
Have tried a restore and also recovered from DFU restore too, also on IOS 9.1
Anyone any ideas?
